Improvements to the Brockville & Westport Railway
Brockville, Feb. 23—Mr. Henry W. Gennerich, President of the United National Bank, New York, and Treasurer of the syndicate, which recently purchased the Brockville & Westport Railway, today took a trip over the road in a special train. On his return he expressed himself well pleased, and has instructed Superintendent Geiger to inaugurate a policy of general improvement at a cost of over $50,000. The roadbed will be put in first-class shape, the rolling stock doubled, and a second daily train will be put on shortly. The extension of the line will be taken up as soon as feasible after the necessary legislation has been secured.
