As the county were having the bridge on Yonge Street at Thornhill renewed, the Metropolitan Railway acceded to a request and have extended in stone the country abutments and steel superstructure will be in place in a few days. A steel bridge costing $1100 is being placed over Mimico Creek at Islington, and the Baldwin bridge is to be replaced by one costing $1800.
