Operations on the new G.T.R. swing bridge at the narrows are so far advanced that the old bridge has been entirely removed, some piles have been driven in the centre of the channel to support the trainAssume this is in reference to the shoofly..
The foundation for the new structure is to be of masonry work, a coffer dam now being constructed for that purpose. A temporary siding has been laid for the accommodation of the board cars. The work is somewhat interesting at the present time and will no doubt attract considerable attention while it is in progress.
