The Canadian Northern Ry. has recently added two six-wheel separate tank switching locomotives to its equipment. The locomotives, which have the following general dimensions, were built by the American Locomotive Co.:—Cylinders, 19×26 ins.; drivers, 50 ins.; boiler, diameter 64 ins.; pressure 180 lbs.; tubes, no. 271, diameter 2 ins.; length 10 ft., 6 ins.; fire-box, 96 ins.×34 3/8 ins.; tank capacity, 4,000 gallons water, 6 tons coal; weight in working order on drivers, about 115,000 lbs.
