James Bay appeals.

Railway objects to providing for G.T.R. expansion.

Montréal, May 26.—The Railway Commission some time ago granted an order to the Grand Trunk Railway instruction the James Bay Railway to build its subway at Gamebridge large enough so that when the G.T.R. doubled its track there would be enough of space for this purpose. The James Bay road runs beneath the G.T.R. at this point. An appeal was made to the Supreme Court, and the court decided that the Commission had jurisdiction to deal with the matter. The James Bay Company has brought the matter before the Governor-in-Council, and the case was heard today.

Railways: G.T.Ry., J.B.Ry.

Stations: Gamebridge East
