Montréal track elevation.—At a meeting of the Montréal city council, June 5, objection was made to the plans submitted for the elevation of the tracks on the ground that they involved the closing of certain streets and the construction an earthen bank instead of stone or concrete. The city asks for plans showing an elevated embankment with retaining walls of stone or concrete the tracks shall be closed. The city will oppose the approval of the plans before the Board of Railway Commissioners.
