Station wrecked by derailed cars

Front and side of C.N.R. structure at Aultsville torn out

Canadian Press Despatch.

Cornwall, Nov. 24.—The Canadian National Railways station at Aultsville was partly wrecked this afternoon, when 19 cars of an eastbound Canadian National Railways freight train left the rails. No one was injured.

Soon after the engine of the train had passed the station the cars left the rails. One car plowed into the side of the station, tearing away the entire front and side walls. Albert Cunningham, standing in the waiting room, leaped through the window before another car demolished that part of the building. Members of the crew were severely jolted, but escaped injury. Fifteen of the cars, loaded with grain and dairy products, were wrecked and their contents strewn over the rails.

Train between Montréal and Toronto are being rerouted until the wreckage is cleared.
