Buys elevator at Owen Sound

Canadian Terminal System, Limited, has announced the purchase of a controlling interest in the Great Lakes Elevator Co. at Owen Sound. The new plant has a total capacity of 4,000,000 bushels, the first unit of which was a 1,000,000 bushel elevator erected in 1925, while additional units were added in 1927 and 1929.

Canadian Terminal System is also building a 4,000,000 bushel elevator at Cataraqui Bay, Kingston, Ont. When this is completed the company will control or own a total elevator capacity of 10,000,000 bushels, since in addition to the above, the company operates through its subsidiary, the Collingwood Terminal Co., a 2,000,000 bushel elevator at Collingwood, Ont.
