Big snow storm.

When people got up on Wednesday morning they found about a foot of snow on the level, and many good sized drifts, with a heavy storm raging. The storm kept up all day and townspeople were busy cleaning the sidewalks. The snow is piled up about four feet high both sides of Main Street. The G.T.R. mail train from Toronto got here about an hour late but the trolley was put out of business entirely. As it carries all the morning papers, business people felt lost without the daily news. A telegram from North Gwillimbury announced that the roads were all blocked and it was impossible for the mail to get through, consequently the Sutton stage did not leave here on Wednesday, the first time the mail missed in five years.

The storm let up about four o'clock leaving us nearly two feet of snow on the level. Toronto papers say that there has only been one storm to equal it in 26 years.

The trolley got through from Toronto yesterday morning and the cars are running regularly again.

The milkmen and bakers had an awful time to supply their customers on Wednesday.
