Incontrovertible evidence.

The best evidence of the business of the country is the traffic on railways. The G.T.R. passing through Newmarket was never so crowded with trains as it has been this year. It frequently occurs that three or four trains are at Newmarket depot at the same time. One day last week a freight train passed thru town comprising 54 cars drawn by two engines. Another train had six engines—two in front, two in the centre, and two in the rear. Passenger trains frequently have two engines and ten coaches.

Railways: G.T.Ry.

Stations: Newmarket
