Fort William tracks.—We are advised officially that the recent track extension done at the Fort William, Ont., yards consisted of laying a track to receive empties from the elevators and loads from the coal dock at Mission, which would be inspected before being switched back into the departure yard. The work was started July 20, and was finished Aug. 29. The track is 3,400 ft. long and is joined by a crossover with the westbound main line. There was also installed in the Neebing yard a weighing track, about 700 ft. long, connecting the scales to the run-around track, which will permit of the independent use of the hump and the scale track.
