The Specialty works.

The Company has decided to use the present building for iron-work only and build a new one for woodwork. It is not definitely decided what form the new building will take but the ground is staked out and Mr. Gilmour, their draftsman, is making plans for a shop in the shape of an L, to run 250 feet along the south side of Timothy street and 100 feet along the east side of the railway switch, so as to load direct from the factory into the cars. The plans show the building from 25 to 30 feet high, with a trestle roof, giving a clear space bug enough to drive a load hay from one end of the building to the other. Provision is made for the driving shaft in the basement, so that no belts will be seen above the machines to prevent the handling of boards or impair the light.

The work of constructing a platform 100 ft. by 12 ft. wide, at the south end of the factory, for placing lumber, is now in progress.
