To open up a rich district.
New railway will begin Burk's Falls.
At the Railway Committee of the Legislature this morning .. Mr. Beatty, M.P.P. for Parry Sound, in urging the incorporation of the Magnetawan River Railway Company, said it would open up a section of country of greater value to old Ontario than New Ontario would be for a long time to come. The railroad is to run from Burk's Falls to a navigable point on the Magnetawan. The bill was passed, the capital being increased from $30,000 to $50,000. Permission was given to raise $20,000 a mile on the bonds.
