Central Ontario Ry.—Tenders were received to May 27, for the clearing, grubbing and grading of a section of the Whitney extension from Bancroft to Bird's Creek, Ont., 3 1/2 miles. Work is expected to be commenced early in June, and to be pushed through to completion as fast as possible.
