Newmarket depot.

The freight yards here have been lively the past week. As many as 50 cars of pail timber have arrived for Cane's factory—17 on one day. The imports also include 8 cars of coal, 2 cars of farm machinery, 1 car or lard 1 car of lumber, 1 car of cooperage stock, and between 2 and 3 cars of general merchandise. The exports include 4 cars of woodenware and 1 of screen doors from Cane's factory, 5 cars of grain, 1 car of flour, 1 car of apples for Liverpool, 1 car of march hay, and 4 or 5 lots a day from the Specialty works.
