Reception at Boulderfel for Hon. Mackenzie King

Prime Minister W. L. Mackenzie King visited his sister, Mrs. H. M. Lay, on Friday last at "Boulderfel", the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lay. In the afternoon a reception was held on the spacious lawns, with nearly 500 attending.

Among those attending from out of town were Mr. Geo. A McLean, M.P., and Mrs. McLean; Mr. Hugh Cleaver, M.P., and Mrs. Gladstone; Mr. Thos. Long, M.P.P., and Mrs. King, of Golden Valley, B.C.; local members, D. F. McCuaig, M.P., and Mrs McCuaig, and Hon. Dr. L. J. Simpson and Mrs. Simpson; also, Mayor Robertson and Mrs. Robertson; Warden C D. Stewart; Judge Dudley Holmes; Judge E. A. Wismer; Hon. E. C. Drury and others.

Refreshments were served by a bevy of young ladies, including Miss Jean Lay and Miss Rosabel Lay, wearing sterling silver pins, with crown studded with diamonds, brought back from their uncle, the Premier, from the Coronation.

The Prime Minister arrived in Barrie Thursday night and left Friday night in his private C.N.R. car for Toronto, enroute to Ottawa.
