Main line deviation to Brantford.—In connection with this deviation a deputation from St. George waited on the Government at Ottawa, and F. W. Morse, Third Vice-President, gave a written undertaking that St. George would be given the same service as at present, with the addition of an express train east and west, connecting with the through expresses on the main line at Paris, Lynden or Brantford, at the option of the Co.
A contract has been let to J. A. Dart for the earthwork for the deviation from a point on the Harrisburg branch, running into Brantford, to Lynden, on the main line from Niagara to Sarnia, The distance is about four miles. (June, pg. 205.)
