Stratford shops.—E. H. Fitzhugh, Third Vice-President, and W. D. Robb, Superintendent of Motive Power, had an interview with the Stratford aldermen, Dec. 3, and subsequently a delegation visited Montréal, where the matter of the extension of the shops was discussed. The plans contemplate the expenditure of $200,000 instead of $100,000, as was originally contemplated. The company desires to have an additional street closed so as to facilitate the enlargement of the shops. The deputation expressed the opinion that this would be agreed to by the citizens.>
