In the matter of the application of the Canadian Pacific Railway Company for authority to abandon that portion of its Kingston Subdivision between Sharbot Lake and Snow Road, a distance of 14.6 miles, all in the Province of Ontario.

Upon hearing the application at Perth, Ontario, on May 19, 1966, in the presence of Counsel for the Applicant, no one appearing in opposition to the application, and the Board having given oral judgment granting leave to abandon operation of the said portion of Canadian Pacific Railway Company's Kingston Subdivision between Sharbot Lake and Snow Road not earlier than September 1, 1966, and directing the Company to give prior notice of the date of abandonment to principal shippers on the said portion and to the Board and to notify the Board of abandonment when it takes place—

It is hereby ordered as follows:

  1. Leave is given to Canadian Pacific Railway Company to abandon operation of that portion of its Kingston Subdivision between Sharbot Lake and Snow Road, in the Province of Ontario.
  2. The Company shall give prior notice of the date on which abandonment of operation will take place to principal shippers on the said portion of line and to the Board and shall notify the Board of the abandonment when it takes place.
