Upon hearing the application at sittings of the Board held in Simcoe, Ontario, on September 23rd and 24th, 1964, in the presence of Counsel for the Canadian National Railway Company, the Village of Port Rowan, Ontario, Norfolk Farms Limited and Leedham's Mill, Mr. Len Stevens on behalf of Beaver Lumber Company Limited, and Mr. John Kestel, Reeve of Port Rowan, and upon reading the submission filed—

It is hereby ordered as follows:

  1. The Canadian National Railway Company is authorized to abandon the operation of that portion of its Simcoe Subdivision between Simcoe, mileage 0.0 and Port Rowan, mileage 16.92, a total distance of 16.92 miles, all in the Province of Ontario.
  2. The said abandonment shall not take place until after the 15th day of January, 1865, and on not less than sixty days' notice to all municipalities on the line and to those industries which appeared in opposition at the hearing; and the said notice shall be posted in the Company's stations at Simcoe and Port Rowan and filed with the Board.
  3. The Canadian National Railway Company shall, within ten days from the date on which abandonment has taken place, advise the Board in writing of the date on which such abandonment actually took place.
