Immediately an eastward train carrying passengers passes train order signal at Copetown, Operator will display train order signal in "Stop" position until indicator in office shows "Block Clear" indication.
All eastward freight trains must make running test of brakes after passing Lynden and before passing Signal No. 108 in order that condition of train brakes may be known and brake system fully recharged before reaching summit of grade. If in judgment of engineman retaining valves are necessary for safe control of train be must stop train at Copetown and trainmen will turn up as many retaining valves on head-end as engineman advises.

West switch of westward siding is equipped with spring switch and "Leave Siding" signal. See further instructions, page 36; dwarf signal No. 98 governs movement against the current of traffic over this spring switch. Rule 104A applicable.
East switch of eastward siding is equipped with spring switch and "Leave Siding" signal. See further instructions, page 36; dwarf signal No. 97 governs movement against the current of traffic over this spring switch. Rule 104A applicable.
East switch of Westward siding is interlocking, operated from station. When stopped by fixed signal trainmen will communicate with Operator at station, and be governed by his instructions.
