In the case of the Armstrongs vs. Schomberg and Aurora railway, which was up for arbitration before Judge Macdougall last west, it appears the Railway Co. had to back down. The Armstrong's claim that the route was to be laid between Lloydtown and Schomberg, whereas it has been changed, thus contravening the wishes of the bonus-givers and impairing the value of the Armstrong property. After some discussion among all the parties interested the railway company agreed to change its route should the Government Engineer at Ottawa not object. The matter stands adjourned pending a report [sic] Engineer will not hinder the Armstrong's getting damages.
