Convert rail car for CNR chief; cost $127,000
Ottawa, July 7 (CP).—No new private railway car is being built for CNR President Donald Gordon, Transport Minister [George Carlyle] Marler [(Liberal, Saint-Antoine—Westmount, Québec)] today informed the Commons.
He told C. W. Hodgson (PC, Victoria, Ont.) that two obsolete passenger cars have been converted to business cars at a cost of $127,000 each. One was for Mr. Gordon's use.
