Excursion
On Sunday, May 31, 1942, the Society is uniting with the Toronto Model Trainmen's Club in sponsoring an unusual excursion to Collingwood, Ont. The party will travel by one of the early morning trains to Burlington Junction where it will be met by a special train, consisting of a C.N.R. oil-electric motor car. The trip will lead north over the line of the Hamilton and Northwestern via Georgetown and Beeton. After lunch in Collingwood the return trip to Toronto will be made over the line of the former Northern Railway. A stop will be made at Allandale where it is hoped opportunities will be forthcoming to inspect the shop and roundhouse facilities.
Over a large part of the trip the special will be the only train on the line, which is a winding and picturesque one, so stops can be made wherever desired to take photographs, etc.
Considering the opportunity afforded and the nature of the trip the price is a reasonable one and all who are interested are asked to communicate with the Secretary without delay.
