The C.P.R. between Dec. 13 and Jan. 17, placed the following orders for equipment:—10 freight locomotives with the Canadian Locomotive Co., Kingston, Ont.; two switching locomotives, one first-class car, one tourist car, one baggage car, one mail car, two snow plows, 102 box cars, 17 stock cars, and 200 flat cars, at its Angus shops, and 12 vans at its Farnham, Que., shops. With the exception of the 10 freight locomotives the orders placed are for rolling stock on replacement account.
