Toronto-Sudbury line.—The section of this line now under construction is from Romford on the Transcontinental line, southerly to Bing Inlet, about 60 miles, and considerable progress is being made. As there is a lot of rock work to be done, blasting operations have been carried on all winter. There will be a number of bridges on the line, the largest of which will be at the crossing of the French River. The maximum gradient if 3/10 of 1% or about 16 ft. to the mile. The contractors are Foley Bros.
