Beeton.—There are rumors of a deadlock between the C.P.R. and G.T.R. over the matter of an overhead crossing. The G.T.R. for some time has been intending to raise its track south of Beeton to avoid the steep grade, and has so informed the C.P.R. people. This would necessitate such a high crossing for the latter that the point selected has been abandoned, and some more suitable place will be selected for this purpose. It would surprise nobody to see the original survey immediately south and east of Beeton chosen.—World.
