Monkland Mills spur.—The Fergus, Ont., town council recently considered propositions for putting in a spur to Monkland Mills. The C.P.R. estimated the cost at $7,500, and would allow the G.T.R. equal rights as to operation; while the G.T.R. put in an estimate at $11,000, afterwards reduced to $7,500, but desired exclusive rights for operation. The cost of right-of-way is being considered by the council.
