Wreck at Chesley

On Monday afternoon about 2.30 a Toronto freight train, in charge of Conductor Robt. Frame, came to grief at ChesleyChesley was later known as Cherry. siding, just south of Aurora. Four cars left the rails and completely blocked the traffic for some hours. The auxiliary was immediately ordered from here and it was found necessary to dump the cars over the bank for the time being, in order to let No. 65 northbound pass. The auxiliary crew worked there until about 9 p.m., when they were summoned to Washago to clear away four refrigerator cars which were in the ditch at that point. After working all night at Washago they returned Tuesday morning to Chesley and had the wreckage cleared up by Tuesday night.
