Canadian National Railways construction, betterments, etc.

Bridgewater terminals.—We are advised officially that the reconstruction of the terminal buildings at Bridgewater, N.S., to replace those destroyed by fire in July, was started Oct. 12. The new locomotive house, the first building put in hand, will consist of 6 stalls, each 80 ft. long inside. The exterior walls will be of brick, on concrete foundations; 12×12 in. posts inside with 2×3 laminated roof over, covered with built up roofing. There will be six 60 ft. locomotive puts, one driver wheel put and one tender wheel put. The machine shop and power house will be connected with the locomotive house, and will be in one building, of similar construction to the locomotive house, size approximately 42×80 ft. The work is expected to be completed in early February 1926. (Nov. pg. 549.)
