Lansing bridge.—We are advised officially that the bridge being built about 2 miles west of Lansing, Mich., consists of abutments for 4 tracks and deck for 3 tracks, spanning one of the state trunk line highways. The abutments consist of gravity type concrete, the center bent being an arched type of reinforced concrete; the deck consists of semi-through plate girders and rolled I-beam floor system concreted in and arranged with ballast deck. COntracts were let as follows:—general concrete work, Hamer Paskins Co., Chicago, Ill.; structural steel, American Bridge Co. The road work and excavation is being done by the State Highway Department, under a separate contract.
