Ottawa Union Station.—President Booth, of the Canada Atlantic system, is said to be opposed to the terminal company scheme, mentioned in our last issue, & says he is anxious to proceed with the erection of a central station as soon as permission is given & plans approved. Sir William Van Horne has written the City Clerk that he is not personally in favor of the terminal scheme, & that he cannot see his way clear to endorse it. He suggests, however, if convenient, that the committee should leave the matter over until Vice-President Shaughnessy's return from Europe, as such matters come more within Mr. Shaughnessy's department.
