Mr. Moyes, of the Metropolitan, denies the report that the C.P.R. has secured control of his line from Toronto to Newmarket and would extend it to Barrie to compete with the G.T.R. Mr. Moyes did say, however, that a switch from the C.P.R. to the Metropolitan at North Toronto had been laid, but this was to enable farmers from the County to get to the market with their products who were not at present served by any railway.
