Mr. Ramer is doing such a rushing business in grain that at one time his machine refused to work. But in a short time everything was running smoothly again. The rush of grain continues, and highest prices are paid.

The farmers delivering grain to the Elevator are taking away a quantity of coal. This is like killing two birds with one stone. Mr. John Sheardown is kept busy teaming coal and wood, though the latter is hard to get.

L. Innes & Sons had another car of lumber last week.

The Radial line to the station is being hustled along and will be ready in about a week's time. As stated before the Railway company are unable to erect a dwelling for agent W. Smith, but instead will make improvements for comfort during the winter.

Mr. Mackay had a two days treshing which shows a large stack in the rear of his barn—the largest in the neighborhood.

A two-plank walk from town to station would be very convenient, especially in muddy weather. Supt. F. M. Spadial went north on Tuesday to inspect new road north of Parry Sound. They expect to open for traffic about Jan. 1st, '08, through to Sudbury.

Mr. C. H. Stiver of Unionville, of the firm of Stiver & Ramer, drove over yesterday and was pleased to find everything humming around the station.
