Waubaushene.—The big fire reported as having taken place in Turner & Company's lumber yard, Victoria Harbor, took place at the mill lately owned by Turner Bros. (deceased), midway between Sturgeon Bay and Wauhaushene on the Grand Trunk branch to Midland. The greater part of the lumber and lath was owned by the Turner Lumber Company, but a considerable quantity by Samuel Caswell & Company of Orillia, and Mr. Manlty Chew of Midland, the owner of the mill, which fortunately (with all buildings) is intact. The fire made a clean sweep of all lumber and lath and twelve G.T.R. cars (some partly loaded), within the short space of three hours.
