Belleville's roundhouse.
The roundhouse which is being erected by the Grand Trunk at Belleville is the second largest on the system, having stalls for 42 locomotives. It is of concrete, and is a quarter of a mile in circumference. The walls are 19 feet high, 22 inches think at the bottom and nine inches at the top. The roof is of steel, covered with asbestos. A new machine shop, 50x200 feet, office and storeroom, 30x80 feet, are being erected. The work, on which 350 men are employed, was begun on August 10, and is expected to be completed by Nov. 1. Many miles of new siding have been laid in the yards.
