Aurora.
...
A public meeting was held in the Council Chamber to consider the propriety of still beautifying the town. The scheme which was formulated eight years ago to form an artificial lake on the Baldwin property, was discussed and a large and influential committee was selected to look into the feasibility of the scheme. Another committee was also selected to look after the interest of the town in the proposed construction of the Aurora and Schomberg railway. It is pleasing to see that business men and ratepayers are beginning to see the necessity of looking after the interests of the town and make it more attractive. There was a very large attendance at the meeting.—Banner.
