Weldon, Traffic Manager, Atlantic Region, Moncton, N.B., visited Halifax, Aug. 4, and conferred with the Board of Trade as to the port's necessities. Matters discussed included the removal of the coal towers erected as a war measure at the ocean terminals by the Nova Scotia Steel & Coal Co. in order to provide additional space for overseas traffic; the extension of the cattle shed; the allocation of berths to the different liners; and repairs to No. 3 pier.
