Bridgewater shops.—Following the recent destruction by fire of the repair shops and other buildings at Bridgewater, N.S., on the old Halifax & Southwestern Ry., the Town Council and Board of Trade held a joint meeting and passed a resolution asking that in the reconstruction of the buildings, the terminal facilities be enlarged and improved. W. U. Appleton, General Manager, Atlantic Region, met the two bodies recently and discussed the matter, and is reported to have stated that the locomotive house, shops, etc., would be rebuilt along modern lines.
