Rat River bridge.—We are advised officially in connection with the reconstruction of the bridge over Rat River, mile 114.88 Jonquiere Subdivision, Québec District, that the present frame trestle, 185 ft. long, is to be replaced by 2 abutments and 2 intermediate piers supporting 3 moulded slabs each 28 ft. long, forming a ballasted bridge. The total length between the face of the back walls will be 84 1/4 ft. The balance of the opening will be filled in. The reconstruction is being done by the Bridge and Building Department.
