...
Early on Monday morning a pitch-in occurred at Palgrave on the Hamilton line. A special train coming north ran into an open switch. It is said a few box cars and a van were badly damaged. The auxiliary from Allandale was called into requisition and soon had the track cleared. Nobody was hurt.
